Cars being sold by private sellers are typically cheaper than those sold by dealers, and it's still possible to negotiate an even lower price with them. You can get discount for cars being sold by a private party.

You may be able to negotiate on the price if the seller has a fairly urgent need to sell. If the seller is in no rush, however, you may have a tougher time talking them down.
